The executive director of the Institute for Global Dialogue (IGD) and co-chair of Task Force 06 (TF06), Philani Mtembu, highlights the importance of the IGD's participation in T20 Brasil, given the high degree of convergence between Brazilian and South African interests. He also points out important lessons on how South Africa can strengthen its potential for the G20 Presidency in 2025 through partnership and an understanding of the methodologies used during the T20 Brasil process.
TF06 – Strengthening Multilateralism and Global Governance aims to draw up recommendations that are in line with the Brazilian presidency's third priority for the G20: reforming multilateral institutions and global cooperation mechanisms.
